Persepolis is so fantastic! I just saw the animation (finally), and I would love to see it again. I thought is was very inspiring that animation was the vessel for such profound ideas and plot lines. I hope that one day I might be a part of a project like this one. The style was so bold and beautiful. I enjoyed the swirly motif, and the time spent on character's mannerisms. I fell in love with Marjane. The overall feeling of craftsmanship was comforting and fresh in our jaded entertainment industry. I haven't laughed and felt shivers go up and down my spine so genuinely at the movies in a while. Now I've got to get my hands on the graphic novels.
